At AllSet Education, we know that the best learning happens when students (and teachers!) feel focused, energized, and connected. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a brand-new, free tool designed to support classroom well-being in just a few minutes a day: Pause & Play Activities.
What is a Pause & Play?
A Pause & Play is a short, whole-class activity that gives everyone a chance to reset their minds, bodies, and moods—without losing momentum in the lesson. Whether you're mid-math or deep in a writing workshop, these 3–5 minute brain breaks help students stay engaged and reduce classroom stress. And they're just as helpful for teachers as they are for kids.
Why Use Pause & Play?
We created this tool to meet a common need we’ve heard from educators: quick, easy ways to bring calm and joy into the classroom. With Pause & Play, you can:
-Refresh attention during long work sessions
-Refocus a distracted or restless class
-Reduce frustration and stress
-Strengthen classroom connection through playful moments
What's Inside the Activity Bank?
AllSet's Pause & Play PDF includes over a dozen ready-to-use activities across four categories:
-STEM (like Count On Me and Window of Wonder)
-Art (like Draw a Doodle and Finish the Story)
-Life Skills (like Gratitude Share and Bubble Breaths)
-Movement (like Dance Party and Simon Says)
These activities are flexible and fun, with zero prep required. Use them between lessons, after transitions, or anytime your class needs a quick reset.
