Equity in Action: Grow It Giveaway Winner

At AllSet Education, equity isn’t just a value—it’s an action.
This winter, we delivered our Grow It Giveaway prize to winners Stanislaus County Office of Education and Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District. We brought three free after school enrichment classes to students across three schools.
This partnership reflects what’s possible when districts, county offices, and community partners come together to expand access to joyful, hands-on learning.
Learning in Action Across Campuses
Through the Grow It Giveaway, students across three elementary schools experienced AllSet programs designed to help them grow it, know it, and show it.
🚀 Hurd Barrington Elementary – Blast Off: “Ready to Rocket”
Students explored how rockets launch and travel into space by building their own rockets to simulate liftoff and trajectory. Through experimentation and design, learners strengthened problem-solving skills while fueling curiosity about science and space.
🎨 Von Renner Elementary – Clay Connections: “Pinch Pot Play: From Ball to Bowl”
Students learned how to create pinch pottery using their hands, transforming simple clay balls into bowls and imaginative creations. The lesson blended creativity, fine motor development, and artistic expression.
🎶 Hunt Elementary – Move & Groove: “Move with the Music”
Students were introduced to dance styles from around the globe and explored movement through different tempos. This high-energy experience supported coordination, cultural awareness, and joyful self-expression.
After observing AllSet's Move & Groove class, Danielle Jones, Afterschool Planning Coordinator at Stanislaus County Office of Education shared:
"The students were super engaged and despite a few little tech issues which she navigated extremely well… the [AllSet] instructor did a wonderful job teaching the kiddos about movement, new vocab words (tempo and metronome) and even gave the students opportunities to lead the activities."
What is the Grow It Giveaway?
The Grow It Giveaway is an equity-driven initiative that provides free expanded learning programs to students and school communities. By removing cost barriers, the program helps ensure more students have access to high-quality enrichment experiences that spark confidence, creativity, and connection.
